He served in the Merchant Marine and the US Navy during WW II and for a short time after the war.
He returned to Calif., got married and moved to Seattle for 4 yrs. He moved back to California for the rest of his life, living for about 25 yrs. in Fremont Calif.
He moved to the Sacramento area with his wife of 53 yrs. about 5 years ago.
He became a full time stamp dealer in 1985 specializing in British Commonwealth Stamps.
Charlie was a Charter Member of the NSDA. He was an active dealer until a few months before his death on November 14, 2006
He is survived by two daughters and a grandson.
